Female Genital Mutilation
AHA Foundation’s FGM training is customized to ensure that each frontline professional who may be called upon to protect those at risk of FGM, or who may have to respond to its consequences, is equipped with the relevant information and guidance to do what is required of them.
AHA's Online FGM Training Portal
Register for our training portal to see the full range of available FGM prevention and awareness professional development training. Each course takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Trainings are available for a wide range of professions. Some location-specific trainings are also available with specialized local content.
American Medical Association FGM Trainings
In partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA), AHA provides risk assessment training in response to female genital mutilation that helps professionals in the medical field and beyond better understand this harmful practice and engage with survivors and those at risk of FGM in a culturally sensitive manner.
Our trainings are available on the AMA Ed Hub, an online learning platform created by the American Medical Association. You can visit AHA’s trainings on the AMA Ed Hub landing page in the link immediately below, or use the other links below to directly access individual trainings.
