The U.S. FGM Dashboard provides an unprecedented, detailed view of FGM prevalence across the country.
Join us on April 9 for an exclusive reveal of the U.S. FGM Dashboard, which maps the incidence of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the United States. The session will be hosted by Amanda Parker, AHA’s Interim Executive Director, and will feature insights from Sean Callaghan, the dashboard’s developer, AHA Foundation’s Senior Researcher, and PhD candidate at the University of Leicester in the UK.
The U.S. FGM Dashboard provides an unprecedented, detailed view of FGM prevalence across the country.
The U.S. FGM Dashboard builds on the insights from the AHA’s 2023 report, “Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting in the U.S.” While the report provided groundbreaking findings into the prevalence, distribution, and impact of FGM/C, the new dashboard takes this a step further. This innovative mapping tool allows users to examine FGM prevalence with unprecedented detail.
With the U.S. FGM Dashboard, organizations and professionals providing direct support can identify areas with a high population of survivors and girls at risk—including nearby schools and hospitals—empowering them to deliver targeted resources and prevention efforts effectively.
During the webinar, Sean will demonstrate the dashboard’s capabilities and provide a walkthrough of its features to ensure you get the most out of this valuable tool.
Don’t miss this opportunity to transform how we address FGM in the U.S. Every registrant will receive a recording of the webinar.
The FGM Dashboard was funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The dashboard was developed and is hosted by the University of Leicester.
