At least ten cases of female genital mutilation (FGM) were recorded by NHS bodies in Hertfordshire between April and June of this year.
According to a report released by NHS Digital on Tuesday, 5 September, the NHS Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the NHS East and North Hertfordshire CCG each identified five victims of FGM, with the vast majority if not all of the cases involving pregnant women accessing midwifery services.
