A Flint-area man sought to pay $100 a month for a girl age 7 to 10 years old to have sex with and later make his wife, according to a federal complaint.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents say Josh Waldrop communicated those desires to an undercover Flint Area Narcotics Group officer via text message in July, October and November of this year.

In exchange for $100 a month, Waldrop told the undercover officer wanted “continued access to (the minor) for the purpose of sex, and so that she would be his wife and bear his children when she gets older,” according to the criminal complaint against him.
