Sasha K. Taylor, a U.S. citizen raised in Arizona, had a normal childhood until her life was upended at 15 years old. As she wrote in The Washington Post, she was forced to become a child bride to a complete stranger, just for a visa. She now advocates for changes to visa immigration laws to help protect children from the abuse that happened to her, and there is a bill currently before the U.S. Congress that aims to do just that.
