Female genital mutilation ‘becoming more prevalent’ in post-Mubarak Egypt

Female genital mutilation become more common following the ousting of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak. This is according to the US magazine the New Republic, which reported that the fight to stop girls being circumcised in the country has waned since the revolution due to a lack of funds.
