Darwish dis-invited from Princeton University
At Princeton University, a planned talk by Egyptian-American human rights activist Nonie Darwish was canceled Tuesday evening when both of the event’s sponsors, Tigers for Israel (TFI) and the American Whig-Cliosophic Society, withdrew their sponsorship, citing her criticism of Islam: in so doing, the organizations went against the wishes of student Rafael Greenberg ’12 who took the initiative to bring Darwish to campus: Greenberg believes Darwish was not permitted to speak because TFI feared a large-scale protest against her.
