Stoning story draws attention of Turkish women’s federation
Following media reports about a powerful film depicting an Iranian woman’s stoning coming to Turkey, a leading women’s rights federation has decided to launch a campaign to support the movie: the Hurriyet Daily News & Economic Review originally reported on Cyrus Nowrasteh’s “The Stoning of Soraya” on April 12; since then, the Women’s Rights Federation has said it will support the film and attach its logo to screenings of the film.
