“Honour killing” dad faces 18 years in prison
A man in Sweden has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after being found guilt of murdering his daughter in a so-called honour killing: Subhi Othman, who admitted to stabbing his daughter to death in November last year, was sentenced Monday to 18 years in prison by the district court in Nykoping, south of Stockholm. During questioning, Othman claimed he saw no other solution as his daughter was leading what he viewed as an “indecent” lifestyle.
