A group of teachers and students from Alliance Girls High School and Dartmouth University in the United States have launched an anti-Female Genital Mutilation campaign in Marakwet district. In addition to fighting FGM, campaigners are pushing parents to send girls to school as they do boys. Thanks to their efforts, girls in Marakwet will hopefully have a brighter future!

Radio station Ashams in Israel has launched a petition campaign to battle ‘honor’ killings of women, forcing public debate on a topic long swept under the carpet. “Killing women is not acceptable in the 21st century,” Suhel Karram, chief executive of the radio station said, “not for so-called family honor or any other reason.”
