Pakistani Domestic Violence Victims Face Indifference in the UK

Advocate Onjal Rauf writes that her aunt, a victim of domestic violence, was dismissed by medical and legal professionals before she was murdered by her husband. Rauf explains that racism and pre-conceived notions about Pakistani women contributed to their indifference. The AHA Foundation trains law enforcement in the United States to prevent cases of indifference towards girls from immigrant families who are at risk of honor violence.
