The AHA Foundation encourages you to hold your own fundraising activity or to name the AHA Foundation as the beneficiary of an event in which you are already participating, such as a fun run or a triathlon. You can fundraise for the Foundation as an individual or as a team activity.
There are a number of fun ways to get people together to raise funds and raise awareness for the AHA Foundation:
- Hosting a book club party
- Holding a silent auction
- Putting together a community run/walk
- Getting married? Ask that donations be made to the AHA Foundation in lieu of a gift registry or rather than giving wedding favors, make donations to the AHA Foundation in each guest’s honor
- Ask for donations to be made to the AHA Foundation for birthday or baby shower gifts
If you are planning your own fundraiser, please email us at email@example.com to go over the details of your event in advance and be sure everything is done according to foundation guidelines. We will provide informational material to be used to help spread awareness of the foundation and our issues during your event. As a thank you, to those who raise more than $1,500 at their event, the AHA Foundation will send you a personalized, autographed copy of Nomad, Ayaan’s latest must-read book!
If you are already participating in an event that allows you to fundraise for the AHA Foundation, we are grateful that you have chosen us as your beneficiary! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we are aware and can support your efforts. Need a simple way to collect donations from your friends/family/colleagues?
